Virgin

Islands

Although our tropical climate ensures year-round temperatures averaging in the low-to-mid-80s, the Virgin Islands does experience subtle seasonal changes. In winter, it generally dips into the 70s on occasion but by April, both air and sea temps are pretty much ideal. According to Bloomberg Climate Analysis, typical dry season in the Virgin Islands runs from January through April. In essence, April is an ideal time to be in paradise.

For two St. Thomas residents, this month started out as a winner, for sure. After entering in Flamboyan Resort’s “Lucky Locals Sweepstakes” last month, on April 1, Alvin Venzen won a complimentary two-night stay at the hotel. First prize, a one-year single membership to Flamboyan’s Pool and Tennis Club, went to Freddie Rabuse. In addition to being an avid tennis player, Freddie is a well known musician. He plays piano every Thursday through Saturday evening at Prime. an upscale restaurant at Paradise Point. Congratulations, gentlemen!

Whether you’re an island resident or a visitor, April is the month to celebrate the beauty of flowers. With that in mind, one of our favorite local florists is in the Coconut Post spotlight this month. In business for more than three decades, Forever Flowers in Frenchtown is known for amazing personal service. Be sure to read more about this iconic enterprise in the pages that follow.

Also in this issue, 3 Palms, a brand new upscale restaurant is making news. Fans of craft coctails and French-Creole cuisine are sure to enjoy this tasteful addition to East End dining out options.

At Flamboyan Resort, Northside Grind coffee shop recently added a luscious assortment of locally made donuts to the extensive menu. Wait ’til you see the colorful array of flavor choices.

Speaking of attractive colors, RooT 42 Bar & Grill just got a shipment of signature swag in a rainbow of hues. Check out brand new T-shirts, tank tops, and rash guards to brighten your casual wardrobe. For added fun, tumblers are in stock, too.

Whether you are on island for a day, week, month, or a lifetime, take time to enjoy April in Paradise.
