It’s a brand New Year — at last. After the longest 12 months in history, the page has finally turned — a great time to publish this “Winter Fun in the Sun” issue of Coconut Post.

Our spotlight is focused on the newest revitalization to outdoor thrills on St. Thomas: the reopening of Flamboyan Resort’s lighted tennis courts. Additionally, the stunning upper-level pool — complete with cascading waterfall — deserves a round of applause.

In 2017, when Hurricanes Irma and Maria took a one-two punch to the tropics, the resort’s upper pool and both tennis courts were destroyed.

Happily, Flamboyan Resort recently restored the tennis courts — complete with state-of-the-art night lighting.

Vacationers staying at the resort have free-of-charge access by reservation. Locals get to book court time by the hour for a nominal fee or “join the club.” CLICK HERE to view the annual membership info featured in this issue of Coconut Post. Benefits include access to two pools, hot tub, and lots more perks.

While having “fun-in-the-sun,” at Flamboyan Resort, tasty refreshments are available from Northside Grind Coffee Shop as well as RooT 42 Bar and Grill.

By the way, RooT 42 recently added frozen drinks to the extensive cocktail menu. What a great way to enjoy a brand New Year in paradise!

Happy 2021!

COCO BITS

In addition to Coconut Post spotlighting slices of life in paradise, look for “Coco-bits”  — tidbits of tasty info, island history, and fun-to-know facts scattered throughout the publication. Keep in mind here in the islands ‘views’ are visual — not so much editorial, LOL
