When the calendar rolls around to November, it’s official — the holiday season has arrived.

Images replaying in many hearts include childhood memories of joyous get-togethers with friends and family. For young parents, this month offers a special opportunity to instill in the next generation an invaluable tradition — giving thanks for time well spent.

On St. Thomas, the exquisite beauty of the island inspires residents and visitors to pause and give thanks, not only for friends and family but Mother Nature’s precious gifts. Just think of it — the splendor of a warm Caribbean sunrise peering over tranquil turquoise seas is a priceless November experience to enjoy on land or sea!

Naturally, November is an ideal time of year for mainlanders to escape frosty temperatures in favor of the sunny Caribbean. Happily, the staff and management at the newly renovated Flamboyan Resort are ready to host you. The resort features two refreshing pools, jacuzzi, lighted tennis courts, video gaming, on-premise restaurant, and coffee shop. Plus, world-famous Magens Bay Beach is only a half-mile down the road. You have a choice of booking attractively appointed one-or-two-bedroom villas — or studio suites. Each unit includes a fully appointed kitchenette.

Why not consider a November vacation getaway with friends and family? What a great way to create memories to be thankful for — memories to last a lifetime!

Many resort guests enjoy starting their day at Northside Grind. The popular coffee shop was recently redesigned and is a big hit with island residents. In fact, in this issue of Coconut Post you’ll meet “regulars” Diana Bowen and her adopted doggy, Darla.

Diana said she is “…“thankful to Northside Grind for creating a place to safely socialize outdoors during COVID.” And Darla expressed thanks to Northside Grind for her daily Puppuccino, by way of wagging her tail. If you get the impression you’ll have the chance to meet fascinating island residents during your stay at Flamboyan Resort, how right you are!

At the Coconut Post, we have a special message to all our readers. Thanks to your interest and support, we are opening an office in the resort’s Reception building. At the all-new “Coconut Post Office” you can pick up brochures showcasing the best places to go and things to do in the V.I. Staffers will be glad to answer questions and share “insider” details, too. The office also is home to the resort’s Lending Library.

Whether you are on island for a day, week, month, or a lifetime, St. Thomas in November will surely provide countless reasons to give thanks.

In addition to Coconut Post spotlighting slices of life in paradise, look for “Coco-bits”  — tidbits of tasty info, island history, and fun-to-know facts scattered throughout the publication. Keep in mind here in the islands ‘views’ are visual — not so much editorial, LOL
