Whether it’s a quick weekend getaway or leisurely vacation, the best travel experiences happen when they include friends, family members, or a fun combination of both.

With that in mind, when it’s time to reconnect with your favorite people, how about planning to meet up on St. Thomas at Flamboyan Resort? Whether you reserve one or two-bedroom villas — or studio suites — each unit includes a fully appointed kitchenette with mini-fridge, microwave, double burners, coffee maker, and blender. What a perfect setup for relaxing at your own pace.

Considering the resort has two pools, outdoor lounge areas, a jacuzzi, lighted tennis courts, video gaming, an on-premise restaurant and coffee shop, there are plenty of places to mix and mingle — plus, world-famous Magens Bay Beach is only a half-mile away. How perfect!

In addition, the friendly resort staff will happily recommend places to go and things to do while you are here in paradise.

For those interested in Caribbean artwork, a favorite gallery to visit is Mango Tango. Proprietor, Jane Coombes, has nurtured the facility for more than three decades and showcases personally selected works by talented tropical artists. A very special sale is happening through the month of September. By the way, Jane had a unique connection to our resort early in her career. Read about that — and more — in this issue of the Coconut Post.

When it comes to memorable dining in a gracious, intimate atmosphere, Sea La Vie restaurant in Frenchtown is highly recommended — and also is spotlighted in this issue.

Recently, Flamboyan Resort hosted “Vision Without Limits,” a weekend-long hairstyling seminar attended by a small group of local and stateside professionals. Models included the mother-and-daughter team of Tracy Wayman, the resort’s administrator, and her mom, Linda Cunningham of Florida, a former hairdresser. Check out photos of the duo — and other event images — in the Coconut Post.

Whether you are on island for a day, week, month, or a lifetime, count on St. Thomas in September to provide plenty of fun for Friends ’n Family.

COCO BITS

In addition to Coconut Post spotlighting slices of life in paradise, look for “Coco-bits”  — tidbits of tasty info, island history, and fun-to-know facts scattered throughout the publication. Keep in mind here in the islands ‘views’ are visual — not so much editorial, LOL
