For more than two years, COVID-19 restrictions have severely limited the opportunity to enjoy festive gatherings throughout the islands — including making use of event space at Flamboyan Resort.

The good news is that during all this “down” time, major renovations have been taking place on the property.

Now, in addition to updating the ever-popular outdoor venue at the Lower Garden Pool area with a fresh look and alfresco/ open-air dining options, the resort also is showcasing all-new indoor space. The thoughtfully designed areas can be configured to accommodate meetings, parties, and special events such as art shows and “pop-up” promotions, too.

The 735-square-foot dual-level space is fully air-conditioned with the main room providing a breathtaking view of Magens Bay. What a spectacular bonus!

Just recently, Flamboyan Resort was proud to launch the brand new event space by hosting a landmark birthday party honoring St. Thomas resident Brian Reynolds.

For many islanders who are pet owners, his name is decidedly familiar. Brian and his wife — highly skilled veterinarian Dr. Jane Reynolds — own and operate Veterinary Centers of the VI. In fact “Dr. Jane” is the official vet for Flamboyan Resort and the Cat Sanctuary. Thanks to her dedication and support, a community of feral and domesticated felines live in harmony on the property — in the best of health.

Brian, a British native and former Scotland Yard inspector, formerly served as Commissioner of Police for St. Kitts-Nevis. Consequently, a number of his party guests not only traveled from down-island and “across the pond” to attend the festivities; they also treated themselves to a vacation stay at Flamboyan On The Bay Resort & Villas.

We’ve just returned from our 2nd visit to Flamboyan in 6 months and were thrilled to be invited to a birthday party at the outdoor, lower pool venue. While we’ve been owners at Flamboyan for many years, we had never visited the lower pool area and we were truly amazed at how beautiful this has become.

The venue was setup with a drink area, food area, tables and chairs and an excellent DJ. Again – we were so surprised how beautiful this area has been developed by the folks at Flamboyan. The view of the bay, pool and green space, we can image how this would make for a beautiful wedding or reception area.

Many Thanks to the birthday girl for the invitation and kudos to the Flamboyan Staff for transforming this space to an amazing venue.
