A BIT ABOUT HOOK BRACELETS

The “hook” bracelet was originally created on St. Croix by Sonya Hough in the 1960s. It evolved into an iconic jewelry piece recognized the world over. “Wear the hook up or down, depending on your luck or love,” the saying goes. When the hook faces away from your heart it signals you’re single; facing toward the heart means you’re in a relationship.

Looking for a fun place to kick back and relax? RooT 42 Bar & Grill is ready for you with a welcoming poolside setting — complete with waterfall feature.

Situated on the grounds at Flamboyan Resort, the setting is further enhanced by a dramatic view overlooking Magens Bay Beach.

For frozen drink fans, blender concoctions at RooT 42 are a tasty part of the extensive beverage menu. Check out taste-tempting options including the Pina Colada made with Cruzan dark rum, pineapple and orange juice coconut cream, nutmeg, cherry and lime garnish.

Daiquiri lovers have a choice of strawberry, passionfruit or mango flavors made with Cruzan light and dark rum. Also look for the ‘Cool Off’ Margarita, Capri Cooler, Dream’Sicle and other fun options. Don’t forget the Bushwacker — known as the “St. Thomas original adult chocolate milk.”

Every day of the week from 3 to 6 p.m., RooT 42 celebrates Happy Hour with budget-pleasing specials including a choice of well drinks, Budweiser, Bud Light, or Miller Light beer of just $3.
