Top of the page: Welcome to Yacht Haven Grande, a colorful waterfront complex adjacent to Havensight Mall and the WICO cruise ship docks.
Yacht Haven Grande is a premier marina facility for both motor yachts and sailing vessels in the Caribbean.
Although Yacht Haven Grande — an IGY marina — is four-time winner of the prestigious “Superyacht Marina of the Year,” this attractive seaside complex so much more than an award-winning marina serving charter yachts and their guests.
As part of Island Global Yachting, LLC, Yacht Haven Grande also has been designed as a charming place to shop, dine, or to simply enjoy a relaxing stroll.
Conveniently located adjacent to Havensight Mall and the WICO cruise ship docks, Yacht Haven Grande offers residents and visitors a selection of retail enterprises to explore including a fragrance shop and clothing stores, as well as casual and fine dining restaurants, spas and beauty salons, a full-service grocery market and health centers, too.
Brick walkways, tropical murals, sprawling manicured lawns and park benches as well as unexpected photo opportunities add to the overall appeal.

The property’s intriguing “cannon-lawn” — where the American and Virgin Islands flags fly high above mega-yachts — is a popular community gathering spot. Depending on the calendar and time of day, you might see an exercise class in progress.
Nearby, Navy Beach — a nautical-themed restaurant — offers an ideal place to watch unobstructed seaside activity while enjoying casual cuisine. Other eateries range from Mexican to fine dining.
Don’t miss the fascinating scaled-down replica of a Grumman G-21A Goose seaplane prominently displayed at Yacht Haven Grande. A tribute to the famed Antilles Air Boats that operated from 1963 to 1981, the seaplane company was owned by celebrated aviator Charles F. “Charlie” Blair and provided flights between St Thomas, St. John and St Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands as well as San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The all-propeller-driven floatplanes from World War II were well suited to short hops over water. The Grumman Goose was said to have completed around 40,000 flights during the time it flew as a convenient commuter plane. The large custom 3-D replica was created by WhiteClouds, specialists in 3-D fabrication services.
Speaking of transportation, if the inviting paths at Yacht Haven Grande and ease of access to the waterfront make you wish you could take a leisurely bike ride, you’re in luck. Yacht Haven Grande offers a fully automated bicycle rental center. How convenient!

COCO BITS
A BIT ABOUT LOVER’S LANE
The road from Route 38 to Veteran’s Drive at Barbel Plaza is nicknamed Lover’s Lane — a throwback to the ’70s when island traffic was sparse, street lighting minimal and the sleepy neighborhood was ideal for couples to “park” after dark. Official name for the road is William G. Lewis Lane. In 1931, the first Snipe boat was designed, quickly becoming a world-wide racing class. In 1935, St. Thomas established the International Snipe Class Association and shipwright William “Willie” Lewis —who owned a shipyard at the end of the road — built the first few Snipe boats raced on the island.
