Many visitors to Flamboyan Resort have had the pleasure of meeting security team member Gitano Creque. What they might not know is that he has done everything from serving in the military to working in TV broadcasting.

Affectionately known as “Mr. Creque,” his warm smile and affable nature speak volumes when it comes to making everyone feel welcome. Well known for going out of his way to assist others, he skillfully keeps the property, its guests, and employees safe and secure.

Said the resort’s General Manager Lori Baskin, “We are so happy to have Mr. Creque here. He is an absolute asset to our team.” She added thoughtfully, “Not only does the staff rely on him but all the guests love him.”

For a period of time, Creque relocated to Texas where he was employed by a printing company.

Eventually, the lure of the islands called him back home and Creque joined up with Interscope Security. For the last decade, he has been a valued member of the extended Flamboyan family.

When asked about his personal life, he commented with a grin that he has been married to his wife, Felicita, “… for many years.” He is the proud father of a grown son and two adult daughters and also is grandfather to two very lucky youngsters.

Without question, the staff and management at Flamboyan Resort consider themselves lucky to have the one-and-only Mr. Creque on their team.

A bit about The Emerald Isle

A term commonly used to describe the country of Ireland, “The Emerald Isle” also applies to Montserrat. Located 212 miles from St. Thomas, the mountainous Caribbean island, a British Overseas Territory, is part of the Lesser Antilles chain. In the 1990s volcanic eruptions caused catastrophic damage to the south side of the island. The north side was largely unaffected. It boasts black-sand beaches, coral reefs, cliffs, shoreline caves — and lush tropical greenery.
