For the last six years, Patty Zelaney has been working as a Front Desk Agent at Flamboyan On The Bay Resort & Villas. She also is the mother of Brian Cox, proprietor of RooT 42 Bar & Grill. Her son’s popular restaurant is situated on the grounds of the resort where lunch, dinner, and Sunday brunch  is served poolside.

Just recently, Patty was pleased and proud to walk through the entrance to One Pub in Red Hook, her son’s latest business venture. In partnership with Scott Chisum, Brian has brought his second bar and restaurant concept to life in the tropics — and Patty was thrilled to be a special guest on opening day.

Situated above Señor Pizza, One Pub features a friendly bar area as well as spacious deck with fantastic views of East End. Other striking features are original murals created by local artist Megan McHugh. Her “M Lyn” signature is found on larger-than life images paying tribute to iconic Caribbean musicians including Bob Marley, Peter Tosh, Bunny Wailer, and Chronixx. Also setting the mood, the best in classic reggae and popular island music plays in the background on the pub’s sound system. What a unique tribute to tropical talent!

The menu at One Pub focuses on a selection of creative sliders and snacks including Mahi bites, loaded tater tots, fried pickles, house-made signature pineapple coleslaw, and flavored “Pub Pop” popcorn.

In addition to a full bar with draft beer and frozen drinks, One Pub is pleased to feature  Kenny Chesney’s Blue Chair Bay Premium Rum and also offers a terrific choice of Caribbean sipping rums to enjoy.
