Starting your day in the Caribbean is “smooth sailing” when you stop by Northside Grind, first thing.

Located on the grounds of Flamboyan Resort, the popular coffee shop serves up everything from gourmet coffee, smoothies, lattes, and espresso, to breakfast sandwiches, freshly-baked muffins, hoagies, wraps, and salads.

Proprietors Trish and Tom Dahl and the friendly staff offer curbside delivery for convenient “on-the-go” pick-up.

Entry into the shop remains limited to employees. However, customers are invited to step beyond the garden gate, sit down and relax outdoors — social distance style. If the area is in use, guests may take food and beverages to the hotel’s poolside area for additional seating.

Said Trish, “We offer signature Northside Grind smoothies like our Green Protein, Rise and Grind, and Blueberry and Oats.” She added, “You also can build your own with the variety of fruit we have.”

All smoothies are made with almond milk. If you prefer, customize your smoothie with coconut milk, oat milk acai juice and other options.

Trish announced another tasty addition to the smoothie menu. “We have recently added Smoothie Bowls. Toppings include banana, granola, toasted coconut, chocolate chips, honey, agave nectar, fresh fruit, and more.”

Hours of operation are 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. seven days a week. Most major credit cards are accepted.
