Decades before food trucks became a serious trend on Mainland, USA, the creative culinary enterprises were a common sight all through St. Thomas. To this day, everything from beef and salt fish pâté to classic barbecue ribs and chicken is available for pick-up at strategically-positioned vehicles. But one truck stands in a category all its own — PlantTastic.
HAVENSIGHT MALL TRULY “HAS IT ALL”
Once upon a time, the Havensight area of St. Thomas was a world of warehouses. By the 1970s, the utilitarian structures began transforming into appealing retail stores and restaurants. Eventually, Havensight Mall was attracting everyone from cruise ship passengers to hotel guests, and plenty of island residents, too.
