April, 2020

On March 23, Southland Gaming sent official notices to Flamboyan On The Bay Resort & Villas — and all VLT Retailers throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands — advising the temporary closure of all Video Lottery Terminals until further notice. The decision was based on Governor Bryan’s edict that non-essential businesses shut down temporarily due to the coronavirus pandemic. Said Shaine Gaspard of Southland Gaming, “At this time, we will be shifting our focus to find areas where we can assist the efforts in combatting the effects of coronavirus in our community.” He added, “We promise to have our VLT business up and running at full capacity when it is safe to do so.”
